Following my passion for writing is paying off in more ways than one. I’m excited to announce I was selected as one of 7 bloggers for Dainty Jewell’s. My blogs will show up on their blog on Saturdays. The best thing about this opportunity is that I’ll be paid in new clothes! Yep, each month, I’ll earn enough store credit to get a new dress and that makes me very happy!
For the past several years I’ve made a lot of sacrifices in order to focus on my business and stay out of debt. I’ve learned quite a few lessons in the art of penny-pinching. One of the things I’ve done is shop at thrift stores. Blogging for Dainty Jewell’s will be the first time I’ve consistently had new clothes in years – since I’ve been financially independent. (It’s not that I NEVER buy new clothes, but I do buy new clothes that are on sale or discounted… I just don’t pay full price!).
A long time ago I made up my mind to focus my energy on developing skills that use my talents and hobbies and eventually will make me money. I am not where I want to be when it comes to successful money-making, but I am on my way and the most important part is, I’m enjoying the journey! Here’s one of the Dainty Jewell’s pictures I used with a quote for my second blog post:
